OEKO-TEX® STeP

What are your reasons for becoming OEKO-TEX® STeP certified?

The Alsico Group has adopted a uniform certification system for its production units worldwide to provide a standardised audit system for monitoring its social and environmental responsibility processes.

What are the advantages for you?

The OEKO-TEX® STeP certification covers all relevant aspects: quality management, chemical management, environmental management, environmental performance, social responsibility, and health & safety.

This enables us to have a global assessment and certification covering all areas.

What key aspects did you work on in achieving the OEKO-TEX® STeP certification for your facility?

We worked on the action plan set-up and established "best practices" to achieve level 3. Setting up the certification process enabled us to review all our management, processing and support processes and ensure they worked correctly.

About Alsico Group /
About ALSICO MOROCCO (Cindico)

What are your philosophy and strategy for sustainable production?

We never compromise.

Not in quality, not in comfort, not in style.

Not in protecting what matters… your people, your performance, your reputation, our people…our planet.

Our performance protects yours.

The better we do our job, the better our customers can do theirs.

Group Goals

Our sustainability goals for the Alsico Group are Net Zero+ (-60%) by 2034 (the base year 2022)

We want to become Net Zero by reducing 90% (by 2040) of our GHG emissions and offsetting the remaining 10%, mainly via these two sub-objectives:

  • 100% of our products are eco-designed for maximum lifespan, repairability and recyclability.
  • 100% of our PM must comply with our preferred input list: maximum reduction of microfibers, no fossil fuel-based fibres, recyclable fibres, and cotton from third-party verified sustainable sourcing programs.

Living wage

  • We want to monitor the living wage at all Alsico Group sites and close any gaps detected between the wage and the living wage in agreement with local stakeholders.
