The previous two-level process for certification of textile chemicals, colourants and other auxiliaries in accordance with the ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® was expanded by an additional level on 1 April 2018.
In the future, in addition to screening chemicals for textile production against the OEKO-TEX® RSL and MRSL (level 1) and conducting an analytical test for possible contaminations (level 2), OEKO-TEX®
will also conduct an on-site check of the applicant company to test
whether the applicant or producer is actually compliant with the
information provided regarding production conditions.
Three-level ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® certification is possible beginning in summer 2018.
