We are an accredited testing and certification body. Our accreditations and notifications are:
OETI is a founding member of the OEKO-TEX® Association.
Due to the increased public’s interest in textile ecology and health in 1989 OETI develops a testing and certificationsystem, which is called “tested to ÖTN 100 standard”.
As founding member of the “OEKO-TEX®” Association in the year 1992 OETI indroduces the "STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®".
Today we certify products to the "STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®" as well as textile manufacturers and retail companies to the certification system "STeP by OEKO-TEX®".
In addition, we mark materials, which are both tested for harmful substances and come from a sustainable production with the “MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®" label.
Further, the "ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX®" is a certification system for products used in the textile industry including colorants, auxiliaries and chemicals.
UV Standard 801 is an independent testing and certification system. It determines the UV protection capability of textile products. Research has shown that wet fabric is less able to protect from UV than dry fabric and if a textile material is stretched, its UV protection diminishes.
The "Institutes of the International Testing Association for Applied UV Protection" developed the UV standard 801, which addresses the weaknesses of the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4399:1996.
OETI is a founding member of the "International Test Association for Applied UV Protection".
With CE-labelling manufacturers, declare their products to be produced according to EU regulations. A certification with CE-marking is mandatory for many products within the European Union.
PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425
According to Regulation (EU) 2016/425 for personal protective equipment clothing, that protects people against risks to life or health, must carry a CE mark. Protective clothing are for example bulletproof vests, chemical-protection suits, protective clothing for welders, foundry workers and clothing for entanglement, safety vests and garden gloves and protection from rain or cold.
Products which have been certified with the INSPECTED QUALITY label are composed of 100% natural fibres, are produced regionally and produced in an environmentally friendly way.
Uniform criteria and product specific flexibility
With the INSPECTED QUALITY label, which OETI has developed, your products are certified based on a guideline.
If a product carries the INSPECTED QUALITY label, consumers know that this product meets the requirements of a uniform guideline. And at the same time it is flexible enough to be used for any type of a 100% natural fibre product.
For example, Moosburger KG use the INSPECTED QUALITY label for mattresses and pillows made out of horse hair.
Use INSPECTED QUALITY to illustrate the regional, environmentally friendly and high quality character of your products to your customers!
