OETI is a founding member of the OEKO-TEX® Association.
Due to the increased public’s interest in textile ecology and health in 1989 OETI develops a testing and certificationsystem, which is called “tested to ÖTN 100 standard”.
As founding member of the “OEKO-TEX®” Association in the year 1992 OETI introduces the "STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®".
Today we certify products to the "STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®" and “LEATHER STANDARD by OEKO-TEX® as well as textile manufacturers and retail companies to the certification system "STeP by OEKO-TEX®".
In addition, we mark materials, which are both tested for harmful substances and come from a sustainable production with the “MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®" label.
Further, the "ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX®" is a certification system for products used in the textile industry including colorants, auxiliaries and chemicals.
DETOX TO ZERO by OEKO-TEX ® is the comprehensive verification and reporting system that prepares your facility for the requirements requested by the Detox campaign of Greenpeace.

UV Standard 801 is an independent testing and certification system. It determines the UV protection capability of textile products. Research has shown that wet fabric is less able to protect from UV than dry fabric and if a textile material is stretched, its UV protection diminishes.
The "Institutes of the International Testing Association for Applied UV Protection" developed the UV standard 801, which addresses the weaknesses of the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4399:1996.
OETI is a founding member of the "International Test Association for Applied UV Protection".
