OETI is a founding member of OEKO-TEX® Association!

We are one of the founding members of the "International OEKO-TEX®" Association, a union of 16 renowned institutes for ecological textile research and testing.

Consequently, we certify products to the „OEKO-TEX® Standard 100" as well as textile manufacturers and retail companies to the certification system "STeP by OEKO-TEX®".

In addition, we mark materials, which are both tested for harmful substances and come from a sustainable production with the “Made in Green by OEKO-TEX®" label.

Further, the Eco Passport is a certification system for products used in the textile industry including colorants, auxiliaries and chemicals.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

Competence creates confidence!

The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is a globally uniform testing and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of production.

It also comprises the testing of non-textile components. Its aim is to ensure products are free from harmful substances. As part of their delivery requirements, many companies already require products to be certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

OEKO-TEX® supports REACH compliance

REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals. By complying with the latest OEKO-TEX® test criteria, companies can be confident that they are also complying with the relevant conditions of the REACH regulations on harmful substances. The European Chemicals Agency, ECHA Kandidatenliste , produces a candidate list of harmful substances. In the event that new candidate substances are relevant for textile production, OEKO-TEX® criteria catalogue will assure the substances are checked and, if required, added to the OEKO-TEX®' own testing parameters.

The identification of a substance as a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) and its subsequent publication, is of special concern to the OEKO-TEX® community.
